Carjacking suspect that ‘ripped victim out of the driver’s seat’ sentenced to 16 years, DA says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knox County District Attorney Charme Allen said a man who carjacked a woman in downtown Knoxville was sentenced on Monday.

On March 20, an officer with the Knoxville Police Department responded to a carjacking call at Locust Street at Cafego Place in downtown Knoxville.

KPD said the victim had parked in front of Summit Towers to pick up Tyler Christian and Elizabeth Terry to take them to the KAT Terminal.

According to the DA’s office, Christian went to the driver’s door, “ripped the victim out of the driver’s seat” and jumped in the vehicle. Terry also assaulted the victim before getting in the car and leaving the scene…
