Central PA helps states swept by Helene

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Millions were in hurricane Helene’s destructive path. Some Central Pennsylvania groups have headed out to volunteer their services.

One of those groups is the Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS). MDS is local to Lititz, but they have staff and volunteers all over the country, which comes in handy, as they go to help out North Carolina.

“So we have a volunteer who’s worked with us for a long time and been in some leadership roles, who lives just near Asheville and so he’s been keeping us apprized of what’s taking place,” Mennonite Disaster Service Communications Manager, Jesse Huxman said…
