DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Six days after Ohio Task Force 1 was assembled to assist with disaster relief in Florida, the team has been dismissed and sent to another state in desperate need.
Ohio Task Force 1 is now in North Carolina. They’ll be working in Asheville, which has impacted thousands of people with flooding and landslides.
With experience in similar circumstances in eastern Kentucky in 2022, they hope they’ll have an edge that’ll allow them to work quickly and help however they can.
