Charlotte-area school districts closed on Tuesday

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Multiple counties in western North Carolina are still dealing with the impacts of Hurricane Helene, so many school districts have moved to cancel school for Tuesday or for the rest of the week.

In most districts, teachers can treat it as an optional workday if they have power and/or the driving conditions are safe for them.

School officials say conditions will be monitored throughout the county to determine if any other delays/cancellations are necessary for the rest of the week…
