BOKEELIA, Fla. — Capt’n Con’s Fish House is standing resilient in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, with only a 2-foot seawall separating it from the Charlotte Harbor.
All the damage left owner Luretta Wilson uncertain about the restaurant’s future. “This is the closest we came to losing it out of all the storms that we’ve had,” she said. Wilson says Helene’s impact has been the most challenging in her 30 years of operation.
