Thousands of workers stay in mobile cabins in Greenville, South Carolina, to help fix power outages

GREENVILLE, S.C. — A giant campus sits outside the Haywood Mall, with one focus: bringing power back to the upstate.

The base camp has hundreds of mobile trailers to offer a variety of services including a dining hall, laundry services, showers and bathrooms, two full kitchens and of course, thousands of beds.

“We have 24-person sleepers, sleepers that have onboard generators and HVAC units. It’s two 12-person cabins. They’re in a double-bunk format. They have an outlet.
