Veteran in Clarksville honored with new Toyota truck from Freedom Alliance and US Bank

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Freedom Alliance, in partnership with US Bank, presented Army Sgt. Biery Roland of Clarksville with the gift of a Toyota Tacoma on Tuesday at Wyatt-Johnson Toyota, in honor of his service to our country.

The presentation was part of the “Driven To Serve” program, an initiative between Freedom Alliance and US Bank that pairs available vehicles with service members in need. More than 75 vehicles have been provided by US Bank since 2018 and more than 45 presented in collaboration with Freedom Alliance.

During his deployment to Afghanistan in 2014, Biery experienced two mortar attacks. The first occurred while he was refueling helicopters. Fortunately, Biery survived and earned his Combat Action Badge.

Later, during another mortar attack, enemy forces hit the gasoline line, resulting in a massive explosion. Biery was hit with shrapnel and was evacuated to Germany. Following his recovery at Fort Campbell, he was medically retired in April 2015…
