ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – A cold front is knocking on the door of the Twin Tiers. The clouds and rain are heading our way, but so is a chance to dry out. Cloud cover gradually increases this evening as a shortwave trough and weak cold front approach the Great Lakes. Widely scattered showers are expected overnight and more widespread light showers before sunrise.
Thursday the showers end and it will still be warmer and then sun is back, to wrap up the week and into the weekend.
We are watching two more disturbances that will likely increase our chances for rain Friday night and early Saturday. Then again Sunday night into Monday.
Tonight a chance of showers for us and in the upper-50s. Then Wednesday, rain through the day and in the low-to-mid-60s…
