CHEMUNG, N.Y. ( WETM ) — Police are investigating after human remains were found near the Chemung River over the weekend.
According to the New York State Police Department, two kayakers reported finding human remains near the river in the Town of Chemung on Saturday, Sept. 28. Troopers who responded to the report found partial skeletal human remains in a wooded area along the Chemung River.
