Fort Mill, SC – In response to the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina, the local community is coming together to support recovery efforts through a critical blood drive. On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Planet Fitness in Fort Mill will host the event in partnership with One Blood and local first responders.
The blood drive will provide much-needed donations to assist the victims of Hurricane Helene. With many areas in Western North Carolina severely impacted, blood donations are crucial to meet the increased demand at hospitals and emergency centers supporting the relief efforts.
All donors will receive a $20 eGift card, a Halloween-themed t-shirt, and a free wellness checkup, which includes blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening. This event not only allows donors to make a positive impact but also provides them with a full health checkup.
