BOILING SPRINGS, S.C. — A Boiling Springs, South Carolina man managed to walk about 17 miles through the night after Tropical Storm Helene hit the western Carolinas and Tennessee to get to Johnson City, to walk his daughter, Elizabeth, down the aisle at her wedding.
David Jones set off on the drive to Tennessee Friday afternoon after squaring his wife and mother-in-law away at their Spartanburg County home.
