Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are as different as they are alike. Although the Boston Celtics legends project vastly different demeanors, they have the same old-school, say-it-with-your-chest mind state. In a recent podcast, the two debated the New York Knicks’ championship legitimacy.
“Knicks gonna win a championship,” Garnett said on the recent episode of The Ticket and The Truth.
Garnett didn’t clarify whether he meant the Knicks would hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy for the 2024-25 season or in the next millennium. However, New York’s moves over the last few seasons imply they are ready for the long haul. The Boston Celtics are the odds favorites and still appear to be the best team, at least in the Eastern Conference.
