Some questions linger as Waverly nursing home moves forward after suffering water damage

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – On Sept. 9, a burst pipe left The Mulberry at Waverly in, what those that responded to the scene described as, an inch of water.

Multiple different emergency crews responded to the scene, working with the facilities staff to transport its approximately 30 residents to the nearby Waverly Community Center.

“The Mulberry Staff was there to be with their residents but also coordinate the ambulance transport to the community center there in Waverly,” Deputy John Brady, who responded to the scene with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s office, said…
