Gabby Kano wrapped up a strong performance at the Molly Invitational Tuesday, coming in tied for 11th in a crowded field.
In a final round which featured just 17 rounds of even par or better, and just two rounds of two-under or better, Kano battled her way to a two-over 74 to finish the tournament at +1 (71-72-74=217), just eight strokes off the pace of 2024 national second runner-up Paula Martin Sampedro of Stanford and San Francisco’s Riana Mission.
As a team, Nevada shot 17-over in the final round to finish ninth at +42 (297-304-305=906). Anna Shultse matched Kano’s team-best 74 for the final round to finish at +12 (77-77-74=228), tying for 32nd with Nikki Chindavong (75-76-77=228)…
