FALL RIVER, Mass. — A Plymouth “elder” in the Twelve Tribes religious organization is scheduled to be sentenced in Fall River Superior Court on Wednesday after he was charged with child rape and indecent assault.

Nehemya Smith, 37, was convicted of 25 different indictments charging him with multiple child rapes and indecent assaults last month.
