Homeless man convicted in 2023 Easton bus stop stabbing

A 44-year-old homeless man has been convicted on all charges during a trial for a 2023 stabbing in downtown Easton.

Christopher H. Burd will be sentenced on charges of felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor possession of an instrument of crime and misdemeanor simple assault. Northampton County District Attorney Stephen G. Baratta announced Wednesday morning the verdict came down Tuesday afternoon after a two-day jury trial.

Northampton County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Craig A. Dally presided over the case. The case was prosecuted by Northampton County Assistant District Attorney Shanna Kim and city police.
