Man arraigned for repeated trespassing at Ryan Intermediate School in Gull Lake

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A man accused of causing a school in the Gull Lake Community Schools district to take extra safety measures was arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

Trever James Desimone, 31, pled not guilty in the case. He faces misdemeanor trespassing charges after prosecutors said he was illegally on school property twice at Ryan Intermediate School.

The school was placed on “secure mode” on Thursday and again Tuesday after his release from jail.

“That’s part of the problem here, this isn’t the first time that this has happened and, it isn’t the first time that it’s happened in the last two weeks,” Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting said. “Mr. Desimone was currently on bond for a similar charge involving trespass when this happened.”…
