Nearly 60 shelter animals rescued from NC mountains, brought to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — Nearly 60 dogs and cats need forever homes after being transported from shelters in North Carolina’s mountains.

Dozens of them have come in over the past couple of days from Asheville.

“I think they’re a little stressed, which is completely understandable, especially with all the travel and moving back and forth,” said K.C. Thompson with the Charlotte Humane Society…
