Security heightened in Northeast Ohio for Rosh Hashanah

BEACHWOOD, Ohio (WJW) – Overseas attacks have prompted heightened security Wednesday for the start of the Jewish High Holy Day Rosh Hashanah.

On Tuesday, Iran bombarded Israel with more than 100 missiles, and the threat is being felt close to home.

“The safety of our residents is always a top priority,” said Beachwood Police Chief Daniel Grispino. “Especially with the High Holy Days, our officers are conducting saturated patrols in the neighborhoods, just being more visible. It’s about making our residents feel a level of comfort, safety and security.”…
