SPARTA — The Macon County Tigers were unable to overcome regional opponents, the White County Warriors, in a soggy and hard-fought contest last Friday night, falling 34-18 at Dee Harris Field.
The game, played under relentless rain due to the outer bands of the former Hurricane Helene, saw many matchups across Tennessee postponed, but this one proceeded as scheduled. Despite a valiant effort, the Tigers struggled to contain White County’s offense on the slippery field, dropping their record to 4-2 on the season and 1-2 in 4A Region 4 play.
