MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Police say an Arkansas man rented a self-storage unit on American Way and a day later broke into 11 other units on the property and stole over $62,000 worth of items.
Eric Branson Williamson, 45, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, was booked in the Shelby County Jail on Wednesday for theft between $60,000 and $250,000.
The burglaries happened at Devon Self Storage on September 26.
Police said Williamson disabled most of the surveillance cameras at the business but was caught on camera driving into the storage facility on the day of the thefts and leaving with a victim’s $5,000 trailer attached to his pickup truck.
