County leaders say ‘no’ to proposed energy corridor that could impact Kansas landowners

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A proposed energy corridor that would cut through parts of Kansas gets more pushback this week with leaders of counties that’d be impacted stepping up to say “no.”

The proposed energy corridor, stretching five miles wide, would include work to make room for massive power lines throughout the nation. At least one of the so-called electric transmission corridors would cut through parts of Kansas. It’s a situation raising concerns from landowners that the federal government could take their land through eminent domain.
