Panthers make it three in a row

Friday night the Russellville Panthers scored their second win of the season against the Todd County Central Rebels. The Panthers’ strong run game and winning up front in the trenches has propelled the team to a solid three-game stretch, as they defeated the Rebels on the road, 41-6 and look ahead to their district opener this week at home against the Ballard Memorial Bombers.

The Panthers’ offensive philosophy continues to be a run-first offense, pounding the rock and being physical with teams. The offensive line is executing at the level the Panthers need to continue their rushing success. Against the Rebels the Panthers achieved their second straight game with 200-plus rushing yards as a team. Sophomore running back Jamarion Gardner had another dominant day with 223 yards on 11 carries and four touchdowns on the ground.
