SALINAS, Calif. — Hitchcock Road Animal Services in Salinas is operating at 132% capacity and urging pet owners to reclaim their animals.
The shelter has taken in 105 stray animals in the past week, adding to the 94 dogs, 63 cats and 41 kittens already in foster care.
