CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Local veterans want fellow service members to know they have a safe place to help with mental health recovery.
Amber Ndubuisi, local veteran and service officer outreach manager for the Hamilton County Veterans Service Commission, wants other former military members to know there are community resources available to help those struggling with mental health.
“I am an army veteran,” Ndubuisi said. “I served overseas in ’05 and ’06, so I’m familiar with what we go through.”
“What we see with veterans is it’s important to talk with somebody that has that shared experience so that you can understand and relate to the issues that they may be suffering from.”…
