Not even 24 hours after an early morning Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Blue Alert awakened folks across the Lone Star State , thousands of residents have lodged their complaints about the surprise wake-up call.
According to a report from CBS News Texas , nearly 4,000 Texans filed grievances with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over the alert, which sounded just before 5 a.m. Friday. The Blue Alert notified Texans that 33-year-old Seth Altman was wanted for allegedly shooting Memphis, Texas, Police Chief Rex Plant.
Plant was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital, while the 33-year-old Altman, described as about 6’2″ and 220 pounds, is still at large. Gov.
