Rockford’s City Council considers $15.5 million infrastructure plan

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – At an upcoming City Council meeting, Aldermen will consider approving an infrastructure improvement plan.

The City of Rockford says there is a plan to spend an operating surplus from 2023 due to “better than anticipated performance on income and replacement taxes and fiscal responsibility.”

The administration, Public Works and the Finance Department have recommended that 48% of the funds go to infrastructure improvements…
