CANYON, Texas – West Texas A&M’s William Amponsah continued his winning ways on Saturday morning as the Ghana product picked up a win at the 23rd Annual Live in Lou Classic at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
Amponsah claimed a win in Louisville for the second straight season as he has now placed first in every cross country race since joining the Buffaloes in 2023, the senior ran a time of 23:21.0 during his first race of the 2024 campaign.
The Buffaloes placed a pair of runners inside of the top-five to pick up 76 total points as they finished second on the team leaderboard. The Michigan Wolverines claimed the team title with 74 points followed by WT (76), Lee (139), Charlotte (142), North Central (171), Illinois-Chicago (216), Oakland (219), Augusta (244), Clemson (246) and Arkansas State (262) to round out the top-10…
