RALEIGH, N.C. — NC State will be without multiple starters against Wake Forest after they were not in uniform leading up to kickoff on Saturday. The Wolfpack will not have starting wide receiver Dacari Collins, starting cornerback Brandon Cisse and will be without reserve running back Hollywood Smothers for a second straight week. Offensive guard Val Erickson is also not in uniform for the Pack.
There is no injury designation for any of the three players, but Cisse missed the game against Clemson and returned against Northern Illinois. Cisse was on the sidelines with a cast on his left arm, but sources tell Pack Pride its likely just a one-week injury due to a thumb issue.
The loss of Cisse is likely the most significant for the Pack, as the Wolfpack will face off with a potent group of Wake Forest wideouts that include Donavon Greene and Taylor Morin with Hank Bachmeier under center.
