ST. LOUIS, Mo.– Maryville caught fire early in the fifth set in a 3-2 win over Drury on Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Panthers fell to 6-8 and 0-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Saints went to 8-6 and 3-1 in the league.
The first three sets were decided by late runs. Maryville won seven of the last 10 points in the opening set for a 25-21 win. After trailing 18-17 in the second, Drury reeled off seven straight points to take control and even the match with a 25-22 victory in the second set.
