Georgia’s defense has a glaring weakness that needs shoring up very soon. In the past three games, the Bulldogs have allowed 170, 173 and 137 yards on the ground, with all of Auburn’s 137 rushing yards coming in the first three quarters of Georgia’s 31-13 victory on Saturday.
Georgia’s opponents have been able to keep the Bulldogs guessing because of their success in the run game, which often leads to explosive plays and, eventually, points — which the defense prides itself on not allowing.
“It was a solid performance, but it wasn’t our best,” linebacker Raylen Wilson said after the game. “We expect no points, that’s just something we expect as a Georgia defense, that’s the standard.”…
