Milton getting stronger, tracking a cold front

NEW ORLEANS — We will be ending the weekend on a sunnier note than we began the weekend, as skies will be mostly sunny for a majority of the day today, and even though there could be a very isolated sprinkle moving through, it will be a mainly dry day with a high temperature in the upper 80s.

A cold front will move through on Monday, although Monday afternoon will still be warm, with skies being partly cloudy and a high in the upper 80s as well. The cooler air starts to move in Monday night, and by Tuesday morning you will notice dewpoints significantly lower, and it will be a very comfortable afternoon, even though the high temperature will still make it into the mid-80s. Dewpoint temperatures and humidity will stay very manageable through the beginning of the weekend, as we will be dry with highs in the mid-80s through Saturday.
