Local churches come together for World Communion Sunday

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Church-goers around Topeka went to Evergy Plaza Sunday morning for a special service, meant to create community between different denominations.

“This is the third annual World Communion Sunday together, and I think this is the best weather we’ve had yet. Today is just a perfect day for us all to be together to be celebrating the love of Christ,” said Brad Wheeler, Lead Pastor of Topeka First United Methodist Church.
