One month later: The Corner at Debs Store is welcomed with open arms, sees community impact

A month after reopening, the Corner at Debs Store has seen more foot traffic and community support than ever before.

Debs Store was a fixture of the community for over 90 years before its closure, which also left Eastside in a food desert.

“Generations of families came to the store not only for groceries but to gather with other residents, to cash paychecks — it was a community hub,” said Joe Debs, President of Debs Store. “I am proud of where we are today and how my family’s legacy lives on through this expanded community gem.”…
