STATESBORO, Ga. – The No. 2-ranked West Virginia University rifle team continued its season opening road trip with a one-point, 4728-4727, win over No. 5 Georgia Southern on Sunday at the Shooting Sports Education Center in Statesboro.
The Mountaineers claimed smallbore with a score of 2349 to Georgia Southern’s 2343 while the Eagles captured air rifle, outscoring WVU 2384-2379. West Virginia is now 2-2 all-time against Georgia Southern.
