Soccer Recap: New Lexington Comes Up Short

New Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to the Belpre Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair’s previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

New Lexington’s defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Belpre, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won six of their last seven contests, which somehow still isn’t as good as their 9-1-1 record this season.

New Lexington will head out on the road to take on John Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in John Glenn’s favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last eight matchups. As for Belpre, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they’ll take on Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on October 17th…
