MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -According to the Meridian Police Department, a suspect is wanted for the June shooting that left one person dead and three others injured.
Acting Captain Dareall Thompson said Richard Jones is wanted for murder in the June 21 shooting that left 24-year-old Jaterius Easley dead. Jones also faces three counts of aggravated assault.
In a previously prepared statement by Meridian Police Chief Deborah Naylor Young said that on the evening of the shooting, officers responded to a shots fired call in the 500 block of 53rd Avenue, where one gunshot victim was at the scene.
