6 suspects arrested in Woodland Hills organized retail theft

Six suspects were booked on suspicion of robbery for allegedly participating in organized retail thefts at a mall in Woodland Hills, police announced Monday.

The thefts occurred around 5:15 p.m. Friday at two businesses inside the Westfield Topanga Mall in the 21700 block of Victory Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Twelve masked suspects in hooded sweatshirts ransacked the businesses, knocking over multiple display shelves and stealing more than $90,000 worth of merchandise.

“The LAPD Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF) responded and assumed investigative responsibility. Working with the LAPD Topanga area officers and mall security, the ORCTF was able to quickly identify potential suspects and suspect vehicles involved in the crime,” police said in a statement…
