An “unidentified package” found outside USC’s campus this morning prompted a police investigation.
The details of the package are unknown, but it led to a visit from the Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad, which sent a truck to the scene and closed off areas surrounding USC. Officers swarmed 30th Street between Hoover Ave. and University Ave., just north of the University Park Campus.
USC TrojansAlert, the school’s emergency notification system, alerted students, faculty, and staff to the investigation at 11:29 this morning.
