PHILLIPSBURG, NJ-“Our High School, you will be forever”. , The Phillipsburg High School Class of 1974 recently celebrated their 50th reunion in grand style, but the event wasn’t just about reconnecting with old friends. The class also made a generous contribution to their alma mater, raising $3,550 for the Phillipsburg School District. The funds will go toward purchasing a clock tower to be installed outside the community entrance of the new high school.
Betty Tersigni Hammerstone, Catharine Mannick, Deb Smith, and Wayne Snover proudly presented the donation, at the October 7, 2024 board of education meeting along with a garnet and gray fall centerpiece from their reunion.. The district accepted the contribution with gratitude during the extended board agenda item 14.08, as recommended by the Superintendent.
The Class of 1974’s 50th reunion was a weekend to remember, beginning with a nostalgic walk through the original Phillipsburg High School building, now the middle school. After the tour, classmates gathered at The Brass Rail to continue reminiscing.
