Gumbo weather is headed to Louisiana with the first taste of fall in the forecast

The first taste of fall is finally in the forecast for Louisiana, with overnight temperatures in the 50s possible for some parts of the state.

A cold front is expected to move into south Louisiana early next week, according to the National Weather Service of New Orleans, tamping daytime highs down into the 70s. It could be the first time since early spring that the region will see temperatures so low, National Weather Service meteorologist Bob Wagner said Thursday morning.

After a warm but dry weekend — Hurricane Milton, for all its destruction, helped pull dry air into Louisiana — the region should start feeling the front’s effects by Tuesday and Wednesday, Wagner said…
