‘Smash and grab’: Theft squad drives stolen car through storefront, steals ATM: police

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Four suspects have been arrested in connection to an ATM theft at a York Fuel Stop, according to West York Borough Police.

The following suspects have been arrested on multiple felony charges including conspiracy to commit robbery, theft by unlawful taking, risking catastrophe and reckless endangerment:

  • Donnell King, 39, of Baltimore, Maryland
  • Charonda Cook, 27, of Baltimore, Maryland
  • Barry Diggs, 26, of Baltimore, Maryland
  • Jaquawon Matthews, 26, of Baltimore, Maryland

Authorities say that on Aug. 16, the suspects allegedly used a stolen car to drive through the front of the gas station on 1129 W. Market Street, leaving the scene with the business’ ATM.

Following an investigation across three states, police were able to apprehend the suspects and locate the emptied ATM in Baltimore, Maryland…
