On occasion, when I’m giving spiritual direction, the travelers — another name for the directees — inquire about the meaning and significance of their dreams. As always, my role as a guide is to listen in as they listen to their hearts and make connections with the Holy One.
If you’re a frequent dreamer, like me, you’re in good company. A number of characters in the Bible, like Abraham and Sarah, Jacob and Rachel, Joseph and Solomon in the Old Testament and Mary and Joseph, the Magi, Saul/Paul and Peter in the New Testament, had dreams or visions. It’s God’s way of sending a message that is impactful and transformational.
