NEW BEDFORD — Changes are coming to local New Bedford eatery as Carmines at Candleworks announced on Facebook that they would be closing, and their restaurant placed under new ownership effective Monday, Oct. 14.
Carmines at Candleworks was reopened under new ownership just four years ago by Howie Mallowes and Alfred Peters as an Italian restaurant serving time-honored family recipes at 72 N. Water St. According to the post , it will still be an Italian restaurant under a different name with “very exciting upgrades.”
Patrons will see a familiar company taking over ownership, as the post also announced that ServedWell Hospitality would now be at the helm of the downtown establishment…
