HUTCHINSON – On Wednesday Oct. 9, Officers with the Hutchinson Police Department Special Operations Unit arrested Shay L. Kane, 37, of Eureka, on a probable cause warrant for distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death, conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance resulting in death, and unlawful use of a communication device (13 counts). Her bond was set at $250,000.
According to the initial release from the Hutchinson Police Department, this arrest is associated with a fatal drug overdose that occurred in Hutchinson in June 2024.
