TCU will travel to Utah this Saturday in a key Big 12 battle and they got a bit of good news on Tuesday as it was announced that Utes starting quarterback Cameron Rising will not play in the game. In fact, Rising is expected to miss the rest of the season.
In Rising’s place, the Utes will start true freshman Isaac Wilson. Wilson has appeared in five games this season and made three starts in Rising’s absence. He has thrown for 830 yards with six touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.
Wilson is 1-1 in Big 12 starts and last appeared in the Utes 23-10 loss against Arizona. Against the Wildcats Wilson completed 20-of-40 passes for 280 yards with one touchdown. However, he also tossed a couple of interceptions and was sacked three times…
