MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Gov. Andy Beshear (D-Ky.) made two stops in Middle Georgia on Wednesday, campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of November’s presidential election.
Speaking at Ted Wright Memorial Park in Bonaire, Beshear encouraged voters to cast their ballots early and work to get others to the polls as well. Once considered a top candidate to be Harris’s running mate, Beshear is now working to boost turnout for Democrats in rural parts of battleground states like Georgia, something he was able to do in each of his two election victories.
“Every vote across Georgia counts just the same,” Beshear said. “So my goal today is to make sure that this campaign is pushing as hard as it can to get every vote for the vice president in each and every county and each and every area of Georgia.”…
