OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A motorcyclist killed in a crash Tuesday in Oceanside has been confirmed as a Camp Pendleton Marine, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 6:19 p.m. in the area of Avenida Del Oro and Old Grove Road, Heather Mitchell with the Oceanside Police Department said in a news release.
The rider, a 22-year-old man, was traveling on a 2024 black Kawasaki Ninja sport bike when he lost control while passing a vehicle at a high rate of speed and was ejected from the motorcycle, according to police. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital where he went into cardiac arrest.
