Big Meech Released From Prison, Faces 5 Years of Supervision

Additional Coverage:

Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory, a notorious drug kingpin, is nearing the end of his prison sentence. After being released from a halfway house in January 2026, he will still face restrictions.

Flenory, co-founder of the Black Mafia Family, was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking and money laundering. His sentence was recently reduced by nearly three years.

Flenory’s release is not a complete one. He will be on supervised release for five years, with conditions including participation in a substance abuse program and drug and alcohol testing.

Despite the restrictions, Flenory has received support from celebrities like LeBron James, who tweeted “Welcome home Big Meech!!”

Flenory’s journey back to full freedom will take time, but his halfway house placement is a significant step towards his eventual homecoming.
