Museum shakes things up with treats at Annual Shake or Treat Emergency Fair

The San Bernardino County Museum invites families to enjoy some spooky fun while learning life-saving skills at the annual Shake or Treat Earthquake and Emergency Preparedness Fair. The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with businesses and county departments handing out candy, goodies, and emergency preparedness materials to costumed attendees.

This free event provides residents with resources to prepare for wildfires, earthquakes, and other disasters. The day will feature hands-on demonstrations, informational booths, and access to emergency supplies. Families can explore resources from various partners, including the San Bernardino County Fire Department, Office of Emergency Services, Public Health and Behavioral Health. Participating organizations also include the Redlands Community Emergency Response Team, the Redlands Police Department and the Inland SoCal United Way.

In addition to disaster preparedness, the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health will offer free COVID-19 and flu vaccinations on-site.
